Delran Township Police Department Apprehends Serial Commercial Theft Suspect.

On Friday, August 12, 2016, the Delran Township Police Department arrested Chad Griffin, a 25 year old Chatsworth, NJ resident, and charged him with five counts of theft and two counts of Burglary.

The arrest was the result of a lengthy investigation into burglaries and thefts that occurred at Pizza Amore, Jays Landscaping and Caner Trucking between July 8, 2016 and August 8, 2016. In each of these thefts, Griffin entered the property after the business was closed and stole several items that he later sold for profit. Those items included a utility trailer, a Yamaha ATV, various pieces of landscape equipment, tractor trailer radiators, and tractor trailer aluminum gas tanks. Griffin was captured on surveillance video during his last theft and was identified with the assistance of the Springfield Police Department.
Delran Detectives were able to recover over $15,000 of the stolen items and return it to their owners.

The Delran Township Police Department would like to thank the Springfield Police Department as well as the New Jersey State Police Red Lion Station for the assistance they provided during this investigation.

Griffin was lodged in the Burlington County Jail in default of $40,000 bail.
